Ceramic Patch Quilt Dry Flower Basket

This ceramic basket reminds me of a patchwork quilt – made up of different pieces and placed together to create something very unique.

Instead of cloth, I rolled out slabs of terracotta clay, applied various underglazes, then distressed it further by rolling them out even thinner. I cut and tore the clay into various sizes and pieced them together, adding stamped clay and small ceramic buttons before firing. The basket could be used to hold a dry flower arrangement or it could be placed on a table or shelf to add to the beauty of a room.

Made from a low-fire terracotta clay, using underglazes, stamps, and collaged together before being fired twice. All my ceramic products are handmade in small batches, often sold as one-of-a-kind pieces, and may be perfectly imperfect.

Dimensions: (LWH)

• 8” x 5.5” x 6”

• Weight: 1 lb 9oz.
