My Interview on the Paul Blais podcast, The Potters Cast

My interview with Paul Blais

It was a wicked good fall, and it just got better.

Just before Halloween I saw a familiar name in my DMs, a person I’ve never talked to but have heard his voice many many times over the years – PDBlais. Also known as Paul Blais, but even better known as The Potters Cast – one of the longest running podcasts about potters, ceramic artists and their making. It’s a great podcast to listen to as one makes, glazes, cleans up, and a myriad of other activities in the studio. So I was very curious!

“I’m Paul Blais and I host a show called The Potters Cast and I’m wondering if you would like to be a guest on the show?”

Uh, yes?!

We continued via email and he sent me a time that might work for us both. Leading up to the scheduled interview time I was a little nervous. I have been on the asking end of a recorded interview with the shows I used to produce/film/edit as a filmmaker. I always enjoyed coming up with questions, listen, and follow up with more questions. This is a whole other thing, but I was game and wanted to share my story. And share I did! Paul was a wonderful interviewer and listener. He put me at ease, and asked about my art journey and how things evolved. Take a listen for yourself (below). And be sure to check out a multitude of his podcasts via Paul Blais’s website or iTunes, and follow his Instagram too. High-5 back at you Paul!
