Ceramic Brown Ceramic Chicken, Sally

In Sally, my brown chicken sculpture, I’m imagining three different types of brown chickens: New Hampshire, Rhode Island Red and Barnevelder. Of course, she carries the best attributes of each breed!

Sally is a happy, curious chicken, always looking for treats and some bare earth for a good dust bath. Very friendly and raised on pasture! This sculpture is hand built from a low-fire red clay, glazed, cut, reassembled, etched and fired twice.

All my ceramic products are handmade in small batches, often sold as one-of-a-kind pieces.
