I want to give a big thank you to all the folks who came to my studio over the past two weekends to see my creative space, learn about my process and those who also purchased art for their homes or as gifts for others! There was a nice pace of people stopping in so that I was able to talk to everyone, even if only for a few minutes. Some even came from Seattle, making a weekend of touring different studios - what a fun idea!

I met some of the nicest people. Some were artists themselves, others just loved to look at what people created. There were many conversations about creating, working with different mediums, and even one about growing garlic! One person who visited discovered Rosie, the cow. She asked about her story, and as I told it she lovingly stroked her nose. She could tell Rosie held a special place in my heart, but I could tell Rosie was loved by someone else also. So I said my good-byes and let her go to her new home where I knew she would be loved and well-cared for. It's all a part of the process of making, which oftentimes reflects journeys in life: you love, you let go. And you give thanks.

I look forward to opening my studio again next year: 3rd weekend in October. Thanks again to all who were able to come out - so much fun to meet you!!

There will be food, music, wine, and over 24 artists displaying their work. For those in the area, please check out the event.
