This floral ceramic bowl conveys the expressive dance of flowers. As a decorative bowl, it will sit well on your kitchen counter, coffee table or dresser.
After forming the initial shape of the bowl, I dipped it in a white slip. Once dry, I etched into the clay a variety of flowers, which were inspired from some of my favorites, on the top and bottom. After the bisque firing, I applied a wash of underglazes giving it a more painterly quality. A glaze was applied overall before it went through its final firing.
Hand built from a low-fire terracotta clay, dipped in white slip, etched, decorated, and glazed. All my ceramic products are handmade in small batches, often sold as one-of-a-kind piece.
