Ceramic Dancing on Dreams Vase, Gloss

Based on a more traditional style of Greek vases, this hand-built, dancing dreams flower vase is made from terracotta clay.  After rolling out a slab, I created a texture with stamps and then applied layers of underglaze colors on top. After being fired with a gloss glaze, gold luster was applied to the ‘buttons’ near the top. The resulting surface decoration reminded me of a dream landscape, always changing as you turn the vase 360 degrees.

Hand built from a low-fire red clay, stamped, mono-printed, with gold luster; all my ceramic products are handmade in small batches, often sold as one-of-a-kind pieces.
