Description
A small ceramic planter to place on a table or counter – perfect for herbs or any small flowering plant. Each clay planter is unique, created from a technique I developed. After applying an abstract design using under-glazes onto newsprint, I transfer this onto a slab of clay. I cut shapes from this ‘painted’ clay and adhere them to another slab, thus creating a ceramic collage. The slab is then formed into a planter; a drip tray is created using the same technique.
Hand built from a low-fire red clay, glazed, cut, reassembled, etched, and fired twice.
All my ceramic products are handmade in small batches, often sold as one-of-a-kind pieces.
